Continental's 737-300 was relatively uncommon in San Diego after the introduction of the airline's next generation 737 aircraft in the late 1990s. They were all retired by Continental before the merger with United Airlines a few years after this photo was taken.

During the early 1990s Pan Am Express operated several Dash 7's. This one, acquired in June 1989, was used to operate their 4 or 5x daily SAN-LAX flights. It is seen here at one of the many nice photo spots that could be found at San Diego's Lindbergh Field, affectionately known to some as Lindy Field.

San Diego's sunlit houses form a nice backdrop for this Boeing 727 freighter. It was delivered to Eastern in 1968 as N8175G and joined the UPS fleet in 1985.
