Redcoat leased this aircraft as G-BHAU on 13.08.79. It was bought by Swordvale Aviation on 02.12.81 and reregistered to 9Q-CHU with katale Aero Transport in 04.82.

Redcoat was a small British cargo airline, initially using Britannias followed by this CL-44.

Previously XL640 of the RAF, this Brit first became EI-BCI of Aer Turas before joining Redcoat.

Delivered new to BOAC in October 1958. Converted to freighter in June 1966. Served Redcoat from May 1977 until withdrawn in October 1979.

After preparation for failed start-up Eurafric, the former XL640 was leased to Aer Turas before becoming the third Brit for Redcoat, named "Amy", in 8.79. Sold to Katale as 9Q-CHU in 4.82 and scrapped in Zaire during 1976

This magnificent machine started life with BOAC in 10.58 serving until 7.65 when she went to Lloyd. Bought by IAS 1.73 and leased by Redcoat in 5.77. Wfu Luton 10.79 and broken up, although the fuselage survived near the embankment for some time
