Two days after this picture was taken, this Jaguar collided with Belgian F-16A FA79 during the Tactical Air Meet 1986, which was held at Kleine Brogel. De mid-air collision happened near Dubuy in the south of Belgium on 30 June 1986. The French pilot was killed. The Belgian pilot successfully bailed out.

Captured during an air to air refueling phase from a Transall C-160 NG. Jaguar crashed one year later (07/06/1988) after a technical failure near Puiseaux, north of Orléans., France. The pilot CNE Pascal Riotte didn't survived. In memoriam....

This was from a very memorable day at Leuchars during a large-scale NATO exercise. No less than sixteen French Air Force Jaguars on the ground that day, as well as four Luftwaffe RF-4Es and four Soesterberg F-15Cs, not to mention countless airfield attacks. Here's the line of the second wave of eight Jaguars sitting on VAS by the roadside. All aircraft wear the "Fanion aux Hermines" of SPA97, the second Escadrille of EC 2/11 "Vosges". Happy days. Many of these MAP-supplied French AF Super Sabres were preserved after being returned USAF control, this ex 11 Esc example landing up at Duxford (now in the American Air Museum in USAF camo)

The USAF has the odd habit of presenting its aircraft serials - in this case, 54-2131 - without the first digit. To the French, the serial was 42131. One of 100 supplied to France, this F-100 is preserved wearing the markings of EC 2/11 'Vosges' with the pennant of historic unit SPA 97 on this side. Moved to Toul.
