My first visit to Itami. The back half is a little distorted due to APU exhaust but it wasn't a plane that I could see every day at home!

Lifting off gracefully on a 22R departure. This is the short runway at Itami and is used by aircraft up to 320/MD87 in size. This was the last Saab 340 built.

Kagoshima houses former Japan Air Systems' oldest daughter Japan Air Commuter, operating as a JAL feeder nowadays. JA8771 was delivered to Japan Domestic Airlines by the end of September 1970. Mergers put the aircraft in the Toa Domestic Airlines inventory by 15 May 1971 and subsequently that of Japan Air System on 1 April 1988. JAS sent this turbo propliner on to Japan Air Commuter in April 1993.
