Photo taken from the balcony of the then control tower, now demolished. The background is the Sydney suburb of Tempe. In 1968 Tempe was best known for its tip, where household garbage was dumped in old clay pits. The seagull-attracting qualities of the Tempe Tip proved dangerously incompatible with the nearby airport and dumping was restricted to rubble from building sites. The forward fuselage of G-APFJ is now preserved at the Museum of Flight, East Fortune, Scotland.

Once part of the Cosford collection, when the aircraft was eventually broken up, the front section was beautifully restored and is now displayed in the Museum of Flight
