Delivered to United as NC16070 in 1936. Served with a number of operators. Reregistered as N16070 after 1948. Stored at Tucson in 1977. Restoration was almost complete when the photo was taken. To the Evergreen Air Museum at McMinnville, OR in 1990. Still airworthy in 2020.

It was still operational in 2017.

Delivered new to United as NC16070 "Reno" in 11.36 and operated until 09.53. After storage at Tucson from 1977, restored in UAL colours in 1986 and flown. Right hand passenger door clearly visible here. 75,000 total hours. By 1990 with Evergreen at McMinnville OR.

Corporate DC-3, a little bit hard used but with a radar nose, on Heathrow-South by the Pan Am hangar. The operator, Grupo VAPF, is a property developer founded in 1963, and still in business by 2020, under the same name and with the same logo as seen on this 1971 DC-3. They specialise in the development of houses, luxury villas and apartments in exclusive locations on the North Costa Blanca in Spain.

A very early DC-3, among the oldest still in existence. Originally delivered to United Air Lines, way back in 1936, as NC16071. After a long and varied career it was acquired by Skyways Inc. in 1969 as N655GP, and as such it made its way to Europe in the early 1970s. It was mostly based in Ireland while operated by several companies. In March 1976 it was registered as EI-AYO, and then sold to the Science Museum in late 1978.

Originally NC18111 with United, and one of the few DC-3s not pressed into service during WW2.

Right-hand door DC-3A delivered new to United Airlines as NC18111 on 21 October 1937, serving them until sale in 1954. Operated by Shawnee Airlines in the mid to late 1970s. Still extant as a restoration project.

Rescued from a precarious location outside a shuttered restaurant at the Wilmington/New Castle Airport (KILG), this early DC-3 is undergoing a slow restoration by volunteers at the Massey Air Museum.
