This was the only four-passenger Dragonfly to serve Manchester Ringway on scheduled services. Western Airways operated it on their route from Weston-super-Mare via Birmingham (Elmdon). Red and white rudder bands and red registration on dark metallic blue fuselage. From family album.

Built in 1937 for Air Service Training, Hamble. Operated as an executive aircraft by Silver City Aws between 1950 and sale in 1960. The plane's finish was gilt. Crashed on take-off at Elmdon 3 March 1961.

Dragonfly delivered to PLUNA in October 1936 and named "Churrinche". Retired in 1949 and donated to the Montevideo Aviation Museum by date of this image. One of the aircraft destroyed in a major fire at the museum on 4 December 1997.
