Written off October 10, 1965

Correct serial is XN962. This aircraft was delivered to the Royal Navy during July 1964 and served at Lossiemouth until 1970. Thereafter she was transferred to St. Athan and allocated the Maintenance serial 8181M before being moved to PEE (Proof & Experimental Establishment) at Foulness 1986. Unfortunately the axeman came calling and she was broken up in 1992, although the nose section has at least survived and is now on display at Cosford.

This Brick was TOC with the Fleet Air Arm in 1963 and stationed for most of her service life at RNAS Lossiemouth. She was flown to Yeovilton in 1971 for preservation by the Fleet Air Arm Museum and is now on display in the 'carrier experience' Hall 3.

This Brick served with the Navy between 1963 and 1971, mostly with 736 NASat Lossiemouth before retirement to the Fleet Air Arm Museum. She is now part of the super Aircraft Carrier Experience at the museum.

On display at the wonderful Newark Air Museum. Perhaps the curators could do a deal with the Fleet Air Arm so that when our new aircraft carrier enters service it has at least one plane on board............ you couldn't make it up!

The Fleet Air Arm Museum features a simulated aircraft carrier deck operation which is very dimly lit and this very early Buccaneer is one of the aircraft in that area
