This C-9B was known as RY-529 with VR-59 and the name City of Fort Worth from March 1987 up to March 2000. It was moved to VR-46 in April 2000, then to VR-61 in February 2013 and eventually trabsferred to the US Marine Corps in February 2014. In April 2017, the Nightingale was transferred to the USAF as a testbed, still as 161529. It was last reported in mid-2021. Status since unknown. Together with sistership 161530, 529 brought a visit to the Netherlands in support of the US Marine Corps music band.

Former USN C-9B that went to the USMC's VMR-1 and, as such, visited Rotterdam together with its sister Skytrain 161530 in 2015. In 2020, the aircraft was transferred to the USAF, retaining its BuNo as serial, to be used as a testbed.

"Six Turning, Four Burning". The awesome B-36, surely one of Pima's most spectacular exhibits. On 14th August 1954 this Peacemaker became the last to be delivered, but by 1959 with the advent of SAC's jet bombers, all had finished their service lives. Moved in sections from preservation at Fort Worth, TX to Pima and reassembled there between 2005 and 2009. Marked as operated by the 95th BW, Biggs AFB, El Paso, TX

VR-59 The Lone Star Express
