Delivered to Laker Airways as G-AZZD in 1972. To Capitol Air as N916CL in 1982. To Arrow Air then to World Airways in 1984, American Airlines as N171AA in 1987 and to Hawaiian Airlines in 1994. To Fedex in 2000 and stored at Mojave, CA. Allocated reg N546FE but not taken up. Scrapped in 2002.

After the DC-10 disaster at Ermenonville, Freddie Laker,whose new DC-10s were from the same batch, got on TV and made sure the world knew that the belly doors on HIS DC-10s were going to stay firmly bolted shut until the problem was sorted.
