This was the second Seaford. After a brief loan to BOAC it returned to the RAF as a transport. However NJ201 was rejected by the Transport Command. About 1949 Short installed a streamlined nose and Solent style wing floats. It was eventually sold to Aquila Airways in 1953 as a Solent III (G-ANAJ) although it was only a partial conversion compared with Seafords converted for BOAC.
