Part of the external display at the FAA Museum. Retired 22nd Sept.1960 to Aircraft Holding Unit, Culdrose and stored but displayed at several Air Day events. Airlifted to RNAS Yeovilton 21st April 1972 for preservation at the FAA Museum. Current with the Fleet Air Arm Reserve Collection in Cobham Hall in 2022.

Ex U.S. Navy Skyraider transferred to the Royal Navy for AEW duties before introduction of the Gannet AEW.3. Serving with 849 Squadron based at Culdrose. Ex BuAer 124768. Displaying at the RNAS Stretton 1955 open day.

Procured by US Navy as 124121. Delivered to Fleet Air Arm in 1953 serving with 849 Squadron, latterly with the HQ Flight based at RNAS Culdrose where it flew with the code CU-415, which it still retains in preservation.

A unique UK military serial has been applied to this Skyraider (right). Number combinations below '100' were not allowed - but this aircraft uses the 'last three' of its US Navy BuAer No.124097. It had served 849 Squadron's 'D' Flight aboard HMS Albion, but is now stored before spares recovery at RNAS Abbotsinch in 1963. Also visible are WT112 and WT966.

Ex US Navy 124115 and still wears '115' on rear fuselage. Operated by 849C Squadron Fleet Air Arm. Lost in crash in November 1959.
