A nice picture of a Hägglund & Söner-built Sk 25 Bestmann on skies. 25023 was built in 1944 and used by the Swedish AF Central Flying School F 5 with tailcode 223. Transfered to F 21 in Luleå in early 1947 and then on to F 1 Wing a year later. SOC in 1954 and sold to Svensk Flygtjänst, but was scrapped for spares.

Finaly registered on 07.05.1956 for Aero Club Heidelberg. On 03.1961 to Horst Mendlewitsch, Düsseldorf. Between 1962 and 1963 to Klaus Steeb, Düsseldorf. On 08.11.1973 to Wolfgang Reer, 4005 Meerbusch. wfu 13.03.1975, cx 18.03.1975, sold to a privat Museum in Froschhausen, moved to Seligenstadt in 2005 and further sold to Technikmuseum Berlin, stored and awaiting restauration Picture via G. Bouma

The complete history of the exhibited Bücker Bü 181 is not known. It is nearly certain that it flew with the Luftwaffe. In 1959 it was registered as D-ECYV. Before that it was flown in Saarland with the registration SL-AAS. The last owner was Hans Dittes, who made his final flight with the plane on August 24, 1997.

The Bücker Bü 181 was the standard Luftwaffe training plane for beginners, as side-by-side instruction in an enclosed cocpit is ideal, from 1940 until the end of WWII Around 3,400 were produced during the war and continued afterwards in Sweden, Czechoslovakia and Egypt. The complete history of this Bü-181 is not known, although it is nearly certain that it flew with the Luftwaffe. In 1959 It was flown in Saarland with the registration SL-AAS and then was registered as D-ECYV. Its final flight was on August 24, 1997 and is now on display at the Deutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim.
