On this plane on April 16, 1910, the first pilot of Czech nationality, Jan Kašpar, made his first successful flight.

This first example of the Bleriot XI, was used by Louis Blériot to make the first flight across the English Channel in a heavier-than-air aircraft, on 25 July 1909.

A genuine Bleriot, built in 1909, also allocated as BAPC.104. Registration cancelled on 16 July 1992 on sale to France as F-AZIN.

1910 Bleriot, maintained in flying condition by the Shuttleworth Collection. It had no "registration" and was allocated BAPC.3 after the British Aircraft Preservation Council was formed in 1967. The CAA later insisted all airworthy Shuttleworth Collection aeroplanes should be allocated civil registrations, so G-AANG (originally allocated to a Desoutter that was not built) was allocated in October 1981 although not worn. Still airworthy in 2022.

Ed Peterson built his own Bleriot monoplane. The aircraft was not able to fly on the day this photo was taken. Peterson persisted and in 1911 he flew it at Mission Island at the mouth of the Kam River. But the aircraft was underpowered and the flight reached only 50 feet and covered only half a kilometre. Bleriot XI built in Cleveland in 1911 by Ernest Hall, flying until 1917. Restored in the 1950s and flown as N9781. Now preserved in the New England Museum.
