Built for the USAAF as 43-49472 then transferred to the US Navy in 1944. Post-war it flew civilian registered with the US Navy and CAA/FAA, as here, until cancelled on export to Kenya as 5Y-DCA in 1965. Wrecked in a runway related accident at Nairobi on 6 April 1971.

Ordered by the USAAF as C-47B 43-49097 but delivered to the US Navy as 50773 in 1944. Modified to an R4D-6R in 1949. To The CAA as N7069C then N31 in 1957. Renamed to the FAA in 1958. To Collier County Health Department as N9049P in 1979 and used for parts at Naples, FL. Probably scrapped not long after this photo was taken.

Acquired Mar 79 by the Collier Mosquito Control District, ex Federal Aviation Administration N21. Withdrawn from use at Naples (date unknown). In 1984 it was photographed at Naples in derelict condition.

This rather unhealthy DC-3 was owned by the Collier County Health Department! They had acquired it in March 79 ex N31 of the Federal Aviation Administration, whose basic cols it was still in. Last noted seen in a similar state in 1983.
