Tailless research aircraft designed by Gustav Lachmann. It was completed in 1939 but not flown until June 1943 apart from an unintended hop in September 1942. The P for prototype marking was reportedly introduced on 2 July 1942. Aircraft made its last flight on 3 April 1946, total time less than 18 hours. Type designated HP.75 in 1945. It was aptly named Manx after an often tailless cat breed. Ironically the German designer was distrusted and interned on Man for some time. H-0222 was a Handley Page civil test registration.
