Delivered to the USAAF as 45-11559. Sold in 1957 and registered as N5469V in 1958 then N6451D in 1967 and to the El Salvador Air Force as FAS 401 in 1969. Returned to the USA and registered as N34FF with incorrect USAAF serial 44-11153 which was lost over Germany in 1944. Reregistered as N51WE in 1985. Crashed near College Park, PA in 1988, the owner was killed. Remains purchased in 1998. Its identity was used in the rebuild of former Indonesia Air Force F-350 c/n unknown. Reregistered as N451TB in 2000 and flew after rebuild in 2003.

Another J.P. Stewart photo t in my collection. This Mustang was modified by Cavalier Aircraft to an F-51 Mustang II it then flew as chase plane for helicopter programs for the US Army Aviation Material Command.

Ex USAAF s/n 44-72035, owned by Hangar 11 (Peter Teichman)

Previously civilian-owned as N6322T. It was assigned to the Army Engineering Flight Faciility at Edwards AFB, and used as a chase plane during the development program of the AH-56A Cheyenne helicopter.
