VL Pyry is a two-seat fighter trainer designed and built by the State Aircraft Factory at Tampere. The first flight of the prototype took place on March 29th 1939. 40 Pyrys were built 1939-1941. They were used as advanced trainers and as liaision aircraft 1939-1962. PY-26 flew first time on April 3rd 1941. It crashed with PY-4 at Utti on March 21st 1959.
