Still registered as a Mitchell Wing B-10, ZK-FKY as seen here bore no resemblance to the original which is a tri-gear flying wing. The owner of FKY flew 11 hours in 1985 in its original configuration before starting the redesign. The rebuilt aircraft flew 149 hours between January 1990 and breaking up in flight near Port Waikato on January 25, 1994. The owner/pilot was killed.
