This Mexican Air Force Airbus CASA C-295, 3207, was displayed at the Canadian Forces Base Trenton airshow in June 2016. Mexican military aircraft are very rare visitors to Canada, but the display of this aircraft occurred during the period when the Airbus C-295W was competing against the Leonardo C-27J Spartan replace the RCAF's mixed fleet of CC-130H Hercules and CC-115 Buffalo fixed-wing search and rescue (FWSAR) aircraft. On Dec. 8, 2016, Canada announced a $2.3 billion order for 16 Airbus C295W aircraft, with the first arriving at CFB Comox, BC on September 25, 2020.
