Two Firefly U.8 Target drones awaiting delivery from Fairey Aviation's Ringway factory in early 1956 after receiving modifications. They wear the distinctive drone scheme of red and yellow. WM860 is at the right and WM859 is at the left.

Two new red/yellow Firefly U.8 target drones built at Ringway. WM858 (nearest) first flew on 26 March 1954. Delivered to RAE Aberporth on 21 July. Crashed in sea 19 December 1956. The other aircraft is WM859.

One of 34 Firefly U8 new build drone aircraft completed at Ringway by Fairey Aviation. First flew 23 March 1955 and served the Royal Aircraft Establishment test facility at RAF Llanbedr near Harlech, Wales. It wears the standard drone scheme of yellow uppers and red undersides.

Newly built Firefly U.8 at Ringway shortly before its first flight on 7 April 1954. Painted in the red/yellow drone scheme and delivered to RAE Aberporth on 21 July 1954. Crashed on landing at Llanbedr on 3 May 1957 and scrapped.
