A77-851 was Delivered on the 20/08/52. Served in Korea with 77 Sqn. and was named 'Halestorm'. Halestorm was flown by Sgt George Hale who shot down a MIG during the Korean War on 27/03/1953. Converted to U.21A late in its career the aircraft was struck off 08/01/64. Its nose has been a museum exhibit until it was incorporated into another surviving airframe last month. Now on display at Fighterworld Williamtown.

"Halestorm". Flown by Sgt George Hale, RAAF 77 Sqn who, on 27th March 1953, made the only Mig kill by a Meteor in Korea. Originally built as an F8 for the RAF as WK683 but later converted to U21a for the RAAF and scrapped in 1965. VH-MBX flies today from Temora in her colour scheme.
