The Costa Rica police with its Vigilancia Aerea is using two Harbin Y-12Es, the other one is MSP009 (which was seen on 6 December 2022). Not the very best photo, but this MSP010 was pictured out of a United Airlines seven three during take-off. In the back ground Beech F90 MSP020 is seen, as well as a section of MSP017, a blue PA-34 .

Delivered new 24th Dec 2013 and also carried military markings FAC-1106. It was scrapped in Florancia in 2019 after was declared damaged beyond repair after having encountered severe turbulence on 26aug18

A very rarely seen Y12, operated by the Seychelles Air Force. The SAF only operates a few aircraft, during my visit a Do-228, a DHC-6-300 and this Y12. The Y12 was not airworthy at that moment in October 2013, as it was awaiting some Chinese spareparts

Two Y12 aircraft were donated by China to the Colombian Government. in 2014 they were assigned to Satena, the passenger airline run by the Air Force, to keep connections to remote locations in the country. For several years the two were based at Medellin Olaya Herrera, flying to destinations in Northern Antioquia and Choco provinces. It is unbelievable that after only 5 years the airplanes reached their max lifetime hours or cycles and were withdrawn from use.

Another example of the strange all-alpha registration presentation. Many of the other general aviation aircraft on show had part alpha/part numeric registrations.
