Faded serial 6112 and yellow "AR" still visible on rear fuselage. Also still has '42' (last two of the c/n) on the nose. The SAAF Museum salvaged this Ventura from a farm near Saxonwold, South Africa in early 1976. It was trucked to AFB Snake Valley, Pretoria for storage and restoration. In 1994 the Ventura was moved to AFB Swartkop and displayed as seen here. It was still there by June 2021.
