In the early 1990s the Soviet Union was broken up, in the late 1990s this Soviet workhorse was broken up. Belgian company Skytech tried to set up a business with Soviet helicopters, but this is what it looked like by early 1999. The CCCP slowly starting to show under the RA sticker.

About 20 of this variant of the Mi-10 heavylifter were built from 1966 as Russia's equivalent of the Sikorsky Skycrane. This one was made in 1976. Note the rearward-facing cabin below the floor, used by an extra pilot to manoeuvre the helicopter during lifting operations
