First flown in 1943, ex D-YBAR and VX190. Arrived in the UK in 1947 as D-YBAR and evaluated by the RAE at Farnborough. Registered as G-ALUA in June 1949, sold as EI-AYU in 1974 and returned to Germany as D-EBCQ in 1976. Displayed in the Deutches Museum Oberschleissheim at time of upload. Photographer unknown.

Flying in the circuit at Booker. I photographed it from Cub G-AEXZ. Still survives in Germany and exhibited in the Deutsches Museum at Oberschleissheim as D-EBCQ.

First flown in 1940, the Zaunkönig (Wren) was designed to be impossible to stall or spin. Nevertheless, German ace Heinrich Bär was killed in 1957 when deliberately spinning the third LF-1 out of four aircraft built.

STOL light aircraft on display in the Deutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim. Built in 1945 by members of Braunscheig (Brunswick) University as D-YBAR. Impressed post war as RAF VX190 and later civil operated as G-ALUA. Returned to Germany as D-EBCQ.
