Displayed along with R-2116 in the reverse paint scheme devised for the pair to mark the withdrawal of the recon Mirage from Swiss AF service in 2003

Moments before touch-down at Dubendorf, carefully watched by a Hunter and its pilot. This recce Mirage was delivered to the Flugwaffe on 27 February 1969. The aircraft was modified with canards in May 1988. R-2110 was painted black during the Mirage 3RS farewell ceremony era in 2003. The aircraft made its last flight on 17 December 2003. The RS is preserved at Stans' Mirage Center since March 2007.

Special markings for retirement Mirage 3RS in SwissAF service

When the last Mirage IIIRS aicraft were retired in 2003, R-2110 and R-2116 received the same special colour scheme except that on one aircraft it was applied in negative (as a film negative). Seen here is R-2110 with the special scheme on a grey background. R-2116 had the scheme on a light background. Both are now preserved next to each ofther in the town of Stans.

After take off the Mirage stayed well low, allowing photographers to make air-to-air like pictures.

On display at the Mirage Center building, together with her white sister, R-2115. The aircraft actually flew in these coulors.
