Early Viking built machines mostly arrived at Victoria in primer and then went for painting. The process then changed so that they almost always arrived painted, even if all white. Even then the occasional airframe arrived unpainted, for logistical or technical reasons, like this one which finally went for painting at Spokane/WA in October.
