For some aircraft types, decent information is surprisingly hard to come by. According to Wikipedia, the MX2 two-seat aerobatic aircraft flew for the first time in May 2002, derived from a Giles G-202. The single-seat MXS first took to the air on 31 March 2007 according to one report.
