Being introduced in 1946 and phased out in 1973, the Vampire held its ground with the Swiss forces, withstanding the technological advancements of that period. This 1952 airframe is from the second main batch of 100 licence-built aircraft. It has been on display in three different countries since 1986.

at the time the gate guard of Payerne air base. It was later replaced by a Mirage at the main entrance and another Vampire at the local museum. Due to links between the Swiss air force and the Montelimar museum, the Vampire was than transferred to France.

This Vampire was TOC by the Swiss AF in March 1952 and SOC in July 1974. It was initially placed on display at Payerne AFB and then at the Musée Européen de l'Aviation de Chasse, Montelimar-Ancone before arriving at the Muzeum Lotnictwa Polskiego in June 2010.
