Pictured backtracking along the runway to turn and depart off rw24L. Originally I thought that this plane must have told a lot of lies in its younger days... but no, the extended nose is due to the JetPROP aftermarket turbine engine conversion offered for Piper Malibu and Malibu Mirage aircraft by Rocket Engineering of Spokane, WA. As of September 2008, 233 JetPROP conversions had been performed, some twenty percent of the entire PA-46 fleet.
