The Impala I was a two-seat jet trainer, ground-attack aircraft for the SAAF. I think this may be a composite restoration of two former National Test Pilot School airframes: mostly '473' with '469' responsible for the rear fuselage. Anyway, it is an unusual and welcome exhibit at the very friendly Österreichische Luftfahrtmuseum.

This Impala served in the SAAF as 473. It was sold to the civilian National Test Pilot School at Mojave and now rests in the green grass at Graz.
