VH-GOE was used for aerial photography with a camera mounted in the cabin. It was short-lived and by the and of 1971 it was being used to haul cargo, specifically day-old chickens, across Australia from Sydney to Perth (3300km).

VH-GOE in the bronze and white livery it wore when operated by Air Research, the company's name and logo removed but not what it did. It found further work in aerial survey into 1971 but by the end of that year was operating as a freighter. -GOE continued cargo until withdrawn from use in 1976. It was purchased in 1984 by the Papua New Guinea National Museum with a view to displaying it in its original Ansett-MAL livery. It may have since been scrapped without any work being done.

This Piaggio was first registered in Germany in December 1960. as D-INLE Enetered the Australian Register in 1964 as VH-GOE finally ending up at Bankstown in this poor condition. it was struck off the Australian register in May 1976. and now is in the National Museum and Art gallery in Boroka.
