A Heeresflieger H-34 near the ferry terminal in Norden, connecting the East Frisian Islands which were cut off by the severe winter weather of 1963. The helicopter was returning to its maritime roots as it was ordered as an HSS-1 Seabat, BuNo 150745. 94 Seabats were diverted to Germany in 1962 of which 24 were passed on to Israel.
