Like many surviving DC-3s N200MX had a long career, built in 1941 for Penn Central Airlines the aircraft saw brief military service between 1942 and 1943 before being returned to Penn Central. Up until the time this picture was taken the DC-3 had mostly flown within the USA for various operators. Between 1968 and 1984 though, the aircraft flew for a company from Ecuador as HC-AOP, the colour scheme (?) and name is also from this time. Tariri, Chief was later added, was a leader of the Indian Shapras Tribe during the 1950s and 1960s who lived in the border area of Peru and Ecuador

Still wearing the name 'Chief Tariri' which it gained during its time in Ecuador as HC-AOP between 1968 and 1984. Sold to JAARS and spent time in Africa as N13JA and 5Y-BLL before returning to the US and joining Missionary Flights as N301MF in December 1998. Re-registered N200MF in May 2000 and sold to Dodson Aviation in February 2003. Registered as N200MX to Cheyenne Airways in June 2004 and with the Bolack Electromechanical Museum in Farmington, New Mexico by 2009. Cancelled from the register in 2018.

This was the second of three Missionary Flights International DC-3s registered N200MF. Became N200MX with Cheyene airways in Jun 2004. The aircraft name dated back to when it was with African Inland Mission as 5Y-BLL between 1996 and 1998.

Ex HC-AOP, registered 21st June 1984 and became 5Y-BLL some time in 1996 before heading back to the USA as N301MF 3rd Dec 1998

Built 1940 for Penn Central as NC25696. Requisitioned by USAAF as C-49E 42-56618. Named "Tariri", after the famous chief of the Shapra Indians who live on the border of Ecuador and Peru. Later flew with many different owners as N13JA, 5Y-BLL, N301MF, N200MF and N200MX, but continues to proudly carry the Tariri name until this day.
