Intended as a small jet-powered military trainer but no orders were received, and the project was abandoned. Only 3 were built, I-CAVJ (001), I-GIAC and I-CAVT (003), the last of which is preserved in the Volandia Museum in Milan. It was also known as the Caproncino.

This strange looking aircraft was designed in the late 1970s in response to a USAF requirement for a low cost trainer. It is evident that the design was based on a glider though in fact it was a twin jet with two Microturbo TRS-18 turbojets mounted in the fuselage. Only two were built and the project was abandoned in 1988
