The fuselages of Auster 5s G-APBW (left) and G-AKJU on rebuild in the JRB Aviation workshop both having come to grief on glider towing duty. G-APBW hit trees on take-off when retrieving a glider at Hempstead, Essex on 25 July 1982 and G-AKJU crashed on take-off at Whatfield on 15 August 1971. G-APBW is current in 2021, G-AKJU became G-TENT which is in store in 2021.
