Registered 4th January 1968. When airborne from Hullavington on 3rd June 1970 for an aerobatic display practice being flown by the late Neil Williams, the port wing started to fold upwards in flight. He famously rolled the aircraft inverted to regain the integrity of the wing, flew an inverted circuit and approach and rolled the aircraft upright shortly before touching down. The aircraft was DBR but the pilot escaped with just slight bruising. The wing folding was found to have been caused by fatigue failure in the lower spar boom.
