Delivered to the US Navy as P2V-7 135620 in 1955. Converted to a P2V-7S in 1959/60. Redesignated as a P-2H in 1962. Converted to an AP-2H gunship for use in Vietnam in 1967. To the Pima Air Museum in 1975.

Seen on an early evening visit to the museum. Modified in 1967 as an AP-2H gunship for use in Vietnam under Project TRIM (Trails and Roads Interdiction, Multisensor). To MASDC on 25 Jun 1975 with inventory code 1P0197 and transferred the same day to the museum.

Built as a P2V-7 and delivered to the US Navy in September 1955 as 135620. Converted to a P2V-7S in 1960. Converted to an AP-2H in 1967, modified for use in Vietnam under project TRIM (Trails and Roads Interdiction Mulitsensor). Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number 1P0197 in June 1975. To Pima that same month.

The US Navy converted four P-2Hs to an interdiction variant to monitor trails and roads in SE Asia. They were assigned to VAH-21 and used for only a few years.

One of a few P-2H's converted to AP-2H with extra radars and probes and painted in a grey camouflage for search operations over Vietnam with VAH-21.

Seen long before restoration for the Pima Air & Space Museum, this is the only surviving example of four modified Neptunes operated by VAH-21 on night interdiction work over the Mekong Delta. An extensive electronic sensor suite replaced the ASW gear, including LLTV, SLAR and equipment to detect vehicle ignition systems. Armed with twin 20 mm cannon in tail plus two minigun pods and four bombs underwing.
