Delivered to the USAF in 1953 and imported into Canada in 1977. In 1982 a 600 h.p. PZL-3S engine was installed, as here, and it was operated by Silver Pine Air Service at this time. On 19 May 1995 it was wrecked landing on Obukowin Lake/MB and was cancelled from the register shortly after. In 2022 it is on rebuild at Calgary/AB and registered to Jim Hrymack Air Shows Inc. The fact that the PZL engine gives 150 more horsepower over the original conjures up images of the rebuilt aircraft flying loops and hammerhead stalls at airshows.
