Westland bought WG30, N118WG, to HAI Heli-Expo 1985 in New Orleans to demonstrate it to potential customers. The WG30 was a passenger helicopter based on the Lynx military helicopter. This WG30 later entered service with Omniflight Airways operating scheduled helicopter passenger service for Pan Am between JFK Airport and the East 60th Street Heliport in Manhattan. WG30s flew passenger in the US in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. When Westland cancelled the WG30 program, many of the airframes were donated to the Helicopter Museum in Weston-super-Mare, including N118WG in Pam Am colours.
