Canada received eight CH-147s (CH-47Cs) from 1974, not counting one that crashed on its delivery flight. The seven survivors were sold to the Netherlands in 1993 and converted to CH-47D standard. Seen here with a British Gazelle, 147008 became D-666 in Dutch service. Canada took over some CH-47Ds from the US Army for duty in Afghanistan as CH-147Ds between 2008 and 2011. Then the first of 15 new CH-147Fs entered service in 2012. Photo from: Imperial War Museums
