This ex US Army helicopter (69-15092) was marketed by Global Helicopters and IAI, that made the modification, as the Huey 800. The original UH-1H's TF3-L-13 engine was replaced by an LHTEC T800 turbo shaft. The new engine had the same power output of the original one, meaning that no dynamic system modifications were required. The new engine was lighter, more reliable, and much more fuel-efficient.
