Ex TDF-02 with the Transkei Defence Force. In 1994 the SAAF inherited five CASA 212s from the former homeland defence forces of Transkei (2), Venda (2) and Bophuthatswana (1). One of the ex Transkei aircraft was written off just before entering SAAF service and another, the former Bophuthatswana aircraft, was withdrawn in 2012.
