This F.27 was originally delivered to East-West Airlines as VH-EWZ in August 1984. It went to Jersey European in August 1990, at first with the Australian registration but the plane became G-JEAI four months later, and it is pictured here taxiing to stand after landing on rw23. The plane joined Euroceltic Airways in April 2000 but was damaged beyond repair after it overran the runway at Sligo (SXL) in November 2002.

VH-EWZ in store at Tamworth after being withdrawn from service on 23rd August 1989. It left Australia on 5th August 1990 on delivery to Jersey European Airways.

The fuselage of EuroCeltic Airways F27 is now used for training by the Airport Fire Service. The aircraft was damaged beyond economic repair in November 2002 when it overran the runway while landing in stormy conditions and the front fuselage ended up in the sea (thankfully without injuries to passengers or crew). The incident ultimately led to the airline's demise and it had ceased operations by January 2003.
