Two famous airline names together when the AVIANCA 707, Bolivar, had work done at Pan Am London. There is now a Colombian community in London, but in those days no service by AVIANCA. Simon Bolivar was the liberator of much of Central and South America from Spanish rule nearly 200 years ago.

AVIANCA did not serve London, so this visit to Pan Am Maintenance at Heathrow was a treat. This is the delivery colour scheme I think, aircraft named after Simon Bolivar, a Caracas born General who won independence from Spanish rule for Bolivia, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, and Colombia in the early 19th century, which might have entitled him to complimentary coffee had there been airlines in those days!

"Bolívar" flew with Avianca for 21 years, from '70 to '91. Later regn was N20555.
