Really, really happy to get a nice side-on shot of this beautiful old aeroplane. Delivered to American in March 56 she was converted to a freighter in 1960 and served various companies before ending up with Turks Air in 1999. Note the outboard engine has been removed.

Stored at OPF for a number of years, N381AA was days away from being scrapped when the Perna brothers rescued her. The aircraft was disassembled and moved 230 miles north to New Smyrna Beach where she was reassembled for use as a restaurant. Unfortunately the town bureaucrats put an end to the project and the aircraft is sitting in front of the Epic Flight Academy in 2018.
