Oldest surviving DC-3. This is the sixth production Douglas Sleeper Transport (DST).

This is the oldest surviving DC-3 type aircraft. She was the sixth DC-3 off the line and was delivered to American Airlines on July 12, 1936 as a Douglas Sleeper Transport (DST). Academy Airlines bought her in 1970 and used her as a freighter for a number of years. Made airworthy by Frank and Glen Moss and flown to Shell Creek Airport in Punta Gorda, FL where it is currently (January 2018) being restored to its original DST configuration.

N133D is the oldest surviving DC-3/DST and she awaits restoration to original DST configuration at Shell Creek Airport.

Aircraft still wearing Academy Airlines titles not too long after arriving from Griffin, Georgia

This aircraft is one of the oldest surviving DC-3 type aircraft and was delivered to American Airlines in July 1936. Stored in Griffin, Georgia after being retired by Academy Airlines in the early 1990s, the aircraft was made airworthy by Frank and Glen Moss and ferried to Shell Creek Airport for restoration.

Delivered to American Airlines in July 1936. While in service with Academy Airlines, the right side pax was removed and a large C-47 style left side cargo door was installed. Frank and Glen Moss plan on restoring it back to its original DST configuration.
