Rare combination of old-coloured fuselage with revised tail colours

Registered as G-APYC before delivery to Olympic Airways as SX-DAK in 1960. To BEA as G-APYC in 1969, Channel Airways in 1970 and Dan-Air in 1972. To the Ministry of Defence for use as a ground trainer in 1978. Scrapped in 1982.

First flew on 07th April 1960 as G-APYC. Delivered to Olympic Aws as SX-DAC on 26th April 1960. Sold to BEA as G-APYC on 14th August 1969. Bought by Channel Airways on 26th January 1970 on here retains the basic Olympic dark blue basic scheme at Manchester in 09.71. To Dan-Air 06th April, 1972 until 12.78 when WFU.

Olympic's Comet 4B is operating a shuttle flight from LHR, hence the red BEA sticker next to the rear door. Operated by Olympic from April 1960 to August 1969.

This Comet 4B served Olympic from new in April 1960 until August 1969. Three BEA Viscount 800s are also visible in this view looking south from the Queens Building central area public viewing terraces.
