This Gannet was built as an AS4 at Stockport and delivered to the RN in 1967. She was converted to COD4 standard at Naval Air Radio Installation Unit (NARIU), RNAS Lee on Solent.in 1964. She was donated to the Fleet Air Arm Museum in 1978 and is now on display at the super 'aircraft carrier experience' in Hall 3.

The Gannet COD.4 was a transport version of the AS.4 submarine hunter. As a visitor to the wonderful aircraft carrier experience in the FAA Museum you are 'flown in' through the Wessex in the background, however.
